Hua Hin is a beautiful part of Thailand to explore and is much less touristy than the well known areas such as Phuket and Krabi. It’s a great spot for beach lovers, nature explorers and as I discovered during my visit, amazing coffee spots! This gorgeous part of Thailand has some of the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops and eateries I have ever visited so I made a list of some of the best ones in this guide for you, so you don’t have to spend hours searching like I did. Sit back, with a coffee of course, and have a scroll and find 20 of the best coffee shops in Hua Hin (in no particular order). I won’t write about each one, but some have a little extra info that might just persuade you to visit…

P.S. Before you visit these cafes please do a quick google to check if they’re open as a few of them do close during certain periods of the year or will close on a certain day of the week.

Forget Me Not Cafe & Farm

Okay, I know I said these were not in order but this was my absolute favourite cafe in Hua Hin and deserves a spot right on top for so so many reasons. It’s a little way out from the main beach strip of Hua Hin so you’ll need transport (I use the Grab app or Bolt). It’s in a nice quiet area just a 15 minute drive from the popular beach areas and as soon as you walk in, you feel as though you’re in a fairytale. The beautiful garden cafe has a range off different tables all spaced out so you have a nice private area to yourself, well, you and the butterflies who will be flying all around you. You can also sit inside if you prefer in either their main glasshouse cafe or if it’s open, their small wooden coffee house just across the garden. With a range of specialty coffees, incredible food selection and mouth-watering desserts, you’re spoilt for choice and it’s impossible not to fall in love with this place!

Row Hou8e Cafe

No Name Caff

This spot is run from a cute little rustic coffee truck! Serving great coffee in a really cool outdoorsy setting, something a little different!

Memory House Cafe

Plikvivek Cafe

Plikvivek Cafe is a little out of the way, but a perfect spot if you’re also visiting the artist village as it’s just a 5 minute walk from there. It’s in a beautiful outdoor setting with lots of choices for spots to sit and relax. Their coffee selection is great and I can confirm they are as good as they look!

My Craft Cafe

Ronin Capsule

Ronin Capsule is highly recommended by locals here, it’s a very artsy cafe and the owner is very creative! So go and enjoy a coffee, admire the art and surroundings!

Matapita Tea

Drip Rim Lay

If you prefer a beach view instead of a garden one or staying indoors, then this is the spot for you! Located along the beach, this setting if the perfect spot to get a coffee and a snack whilst watching the beach goers enjoy their day. You may even spot horse riding along the beach too!

Mrigadayavan Palace Tea Room

Do check this is open before you visit, as they closed for renovation during my visit but Google Maps claimed they were open. Because of this I haven’t actually sampled the cafe, however it looks amazing in the photos and a great place to enjoy tea like a real princess!

Terra Artisan Eatery

Hymn Cafe House & Music

For all the music lovers, this is the place to go! A beautifully decorated cafe with music features everywhere and you can even play the piano if you know how. There is also a peaceful garden to relax in if you prefer to be outside.

Pisamai HuaHin

Funnily enough, I’m actually sitting in Pisamai cafe as I write this, having had the most delicious iced coconut latte and then setting my mouth on fire with one of the spiciest curries I’ve ever had here in Thailand! This cafe is the perfect spot if you want to escape the business and relax in a beautiful quiet setting.

Eureka Beach Cafe Hua-Hin

Bamp : beach & cafe

Ob-Oon Boulangerie-Pâtisserie

If you’re after some delicious desserts then this is a great spot to visit with a modern-minimalist design and mouth-watering pastries and coffee. It’s also a great place to hang out and do a little work too!

Farm to go

The’ Tea House

The Tea House is a beautiful cafe and restaurant with gorgeous interior and very artsy drinks. It’s a little out of the way, located inside a shopping area so you’d only really visit if you’re making the trip especially for the cafe (which I did). Along with amazing drinks, there is a great selection of both local foods and Western foods, along with some amazing looking afternoon tea options.

Wake/Up Cafe and Bar

BRIEF coffee & more

Enjoy the amazing coffee scene that Hua Hin has to offer and let me know if you visit any of these gorgeous spots!

As always, love Elise x

The best time to visit Thailand is during the dry season which is usually from November to April, with pleasant weather, lower humidity and less rain.

HOW DO I GET TO Thailand?

You can get to Thailand easily by plane with many flights going directly to different areas around the country. At times you may need to take a connecting flight from a major airport such as Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Once you’re in Thailand, you can continue to fly to different areas or use other transportation methods such as trains, boats, busses and private transfers.

There are lots of fun water activities to do along the coat of Thailand and on the islands for adventurers and those looking for something more relaxing. You can take part in activities like snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, island hopping, and boat tours to explore the stunning limestone cliffs and clear waters.

WHAT IS THE LOCAL CUISINE IN Thailand?

Thailand offers a variety of local Thai dishes that vary depending on where you are in the country. Try dishes like Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Green Curry (my favourite) , and fresh seafood at local markets and restaurants. Personally, I love a mix of really beautiful upscale restaurants, and super local street food and I think it’s great to experience both!

While the majority of Thailand is relatively relaxed, it’s essential to respect local customs and traditions as with anywhere you travel to. When visiting temples, dress modestly, remove your shoes before entering, and be mindful of local customs.

The official currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB). Credit cards are often accepted in tourist areas, but it’s advisable to carry some cash for local markets and smaller shops. I’ve noticed that I need cash in Thailand much more often than in other countries, so it’s always good to have some on you.

Do locals speak english in thailand?

While many locals in tourist areas speak basic English, it’s helpful to learn a few common Thai phrases. It can enhance your experience and interactions with the locals, I always try to learn at least ‘hello’ and ‘thank you’ are the bare minimum when I visit a new country and I think it’s polite to make some effort, however most people will speak relatively good English, so don’t worry about not being understood after all, there is always Google Translate!
