The New Forest is one of my favourite places in the UK, since my first visit, I’ve visited multiple times a year, and plan on doing so for the rest of my life! There are so many things to do in The New Forest, and here are a few.
Take a long walk
The New Forest is one of the best places in the UK to go for a long walk. You can walk whatever distance you like, and most of the area is generally quite flat. The majority of the place is open, so you can see countryside views for miles, and there are lots of areas that make up forests. Spot lots of wild cows, horse, deer and even pigs along your walk. Don’t forget to have access to a map before you go, it’s easy to get lost if you’re not sticking to a trail!
Grab a coffee
There are countless coffee shops all around The New Forest, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. It’s the perfect way to wind down after a long walk, or escape the rain if you’re visiting during colder months.
Visit Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary
Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary is a beautiful area with walking trails, a picnic area and viewing platforms to observe the deer. The viewing platform is just moments away from the car park – perfect for this who can’t/don’t like walking.
Go on a bike ride
The New Forest is an amazing place to go for a bike ride, there are countless trails and roads where you can ride your bike. If you don’t have a bike but would still like to go for a bike ride, you can hire one from a few places around the forest.
Visit the National Motor Museum
The National Motor Museum, located in Beaulieu is a perfect place for car enthusiasts. The estate is beautiful, and it makes a lovely day out to explore the grounds, see the cars and stop for a picnic.

What a picturesque place! Looks like something out of a computer home-screen…visiting in the fall appears to be the perfect time to go. Noting this place down for future travels!
